Ancient Mesopotamia Bread

Ingredients:
2 Cups flour
1 Cup of water
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Directions:
Mix the water, flour, and salt together slowly. Then knead the dough and form it into flat round patties.

Cover the dough with a cloth and let it sit overnight. The next day, bake it in an oven at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Personally I think that this recipe lacked in many categories such as the flavor department. Even the fire bread of the American Revolution tasted better than this!! As an Ancient Mesopotamian myself, I am very offended that you would call this atrocity Sumerian bread. My father, the notorious and notable Sir Thomas Hoby, weeped as he read this recipe. 3 ingredients?? I cannot believe you racist kids website wiped out the one cultural ingredient that makes a recipe Sumerian- apple seeds. WHERE are the seeds!? Das ist so schlecht! Ich bin SOO traurig! Those children who say they got 100s, giggle as they get good grades on their mediocre bread, know nothing of the pain I've been through. The pain of harvesting the apple seeds one by one, the pain of looking your father into the face as he chokes on an apple seed, the pain of your mother BEING an apple seed. 5 stars.

I have attached a REAL ancient Mesopotamian recipe below. Thank you for your time.

3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
1+ cup fresh blueberries
more butter for the pan

I tried this recipe it was easy and fun. The bread didn't taste the best but i think that is because i added sugar instead of salt whoops...I don't know how much better it would have been though if i hadn't switched. I too am doing this for a portfolio item but not for Mr.D I am doing it for Mr.M. I am hoping I can get an A+ but I can't be for sure. I do recommend this for a school project though...I do online school so my teachers can't taste my food. LOL

I made this with honey in one batch and with some onions and some garlic in the other batch. It was for a school project on ancient Mesopotamia. GO TEAM MESOPOTAMIA ANCIENT CIV 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also I recommend adding a little bit of grape seed oil to make it a little less sticky.

I am making this bread! Me and my mom cooked it!It is so easy! We were suprised how easy it was! We only did the first half so far and waiting for it to sit overnight i am commenting again tomorrow if i cant remember! I would recomend this bread to anyone! I was researching ancient Mesopotamia and brought this in to class. I got an 100% and a healthy snack! It goes great with stuff regular bread would go with. It is easy to make and great to make before bed and then right before school so it is still warm.
