Ingredients:

1 ripe banana
1-2 boxes of Smarties
About 6 Oreo cookies (you can put as much as you want)
some chocolate milk

Materials:

1 glass cup
a fruit knife or steel spoon
cutting board
*warning: to all children making this recipe, please seek help from an adult while using a knife.

servings: one cup

First, break the Oreo cookies into pieces (about 1/4 of what it was). Put the broken cookie pieces into a glass cup (glass cups are better because you can see through them).

Then pour some chocolate milk into the cup filling about 1/3 of the cup. Set aside. This will be the murky water that the Serpent swims in.

Now, open the Smartie boxes and pour the Smarties out. Set aside.

Peel the banana carefully making sure not to break it(since this will be the body of the serpent). Place it on a cutting board and cut slits (with a fruit knife or spoon) alongside one side of the banana in the shape of this: > .

These will later be used to make the serpents scales. Cut another slit at one end of the Banana.

This will be the sea serpents mouth. The slits should be about 2-4 cm apart. Next, slide the smarties into the slits until each slit is filled. Put one Smartie at the end where you cut the slit of the mouth. This will be the serpents eye.

Finally, place your banana serpent in the cup of milk and enjoy!
