These bath time recipes include a variety of fun including soap crayon recipes,  bubble bath recipes, and bath salts recipes.



Bath Time Recipes

Bubble Bath
1/2 Cup liquid hand soap
1 Cup Epsom salt
5 drops glycerin
Few drops of food coloring
Few drops of fragrance
Mix well, shake right before using. Pour into bathtub while water is running and enjoy.

Homemade Soap Bubble Recipe
1 Cup distilled water
1/2 Cup glycerin
1 Tablespoon liquid detergent
Combine. Set for one hour. Put in plastic container.

Homemade Bath Salts Recipe
9 Tablespoons soda
7 1/2 Tablespoons citric acid powder
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
4 to 6 drops cologne
Mix soda, citric acid and cornstarch in bowl. Add cologne; mix well. Store in tightly covered clean jar. Use about 2 tablespoons mixture for each bath.

Bath Salts Recipe-Art in a Jar
1 Cup Epsom salts
1 Cup kosher or sea salt
2 jars with lids
2 colors of liquid food color
1 pretty 8 oz. Jar
A few drops of your favorite perfume or flavored essential oil
In mixing bowl add salts together and stir to combine. Add 1 Cup of salt into each jar. Add 13-15 drops of food color in each jar. (depending on how dark you would like your color). Pick two colors that will look well blended together. Add a few drops of perfume or flavored oil. Shake jars until salts are well dyed. Pour salt onto paper towel and let dry overnight. Wash jars out and let dry also. Layer salts in jar, alternating colors for a nice sand art look. Attach lid and tie with a ribbon. Label with a card that says use 1-2 Tablespoons for a refreshing bath.

Strawberries and Cream Bath Salts
1 cup powdered milk
1/4 teaspoon strawberry oil
3/4 Cup Epsom salts or sea salts
In a bowl, mix milk and salts together. Pour oil over the top and shake together. Store in a jar and add a tag to use Pour 1/4 Cup bath salts under running bath water.

Soap Crayons Recipe
One ice cube tray
Liquid food color 30-40 drops
2 tbsp. hot water for each crayon
1 Cup soap flakes
Small bowl
Spoon
For each color, put two tablespoons of hot water and one cup of soap flakes into a bowl. Add as many drops of food color to the mixture as you wish. Stir the soap mixture until it thickens. This takes time, so be patient! Press spoonfuls of the first color of soap into the sections of the ice tray or form into sticks. Mix enough soap in other colors to fill the ice tray, following the above directions again. Let the soap crayons dry for one or two days. Gently bang the ice tray to loosen the crayons. Crayons will become hard and great for writing in the sink or tub. Pack them in a box for gift-giving. Great for birthday presents or holidays.
