These cookies will melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. Try this recipe.
* 1-½ cup Sifted All-Purpose Flour
* ¼ teaspoons Salt
* 1 cup Butter
* ½ cups Sugar
* 1 teaspoon Vanilla
* 6-⅜ ounces, weight Semisweet Chocolate
Preheat oven to 350 F with the rack in the middle of the oven.
Whisk the flour with the salt in a medium sized bowl. Set aside.
Next beat the the butter until smooth and creamy (about 1 minute). Add the sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth (about 2 minutes). Combine the wet and the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Cover the dough and refrigerate for one hour or until easy to handle.
On a well-floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness using a rolling pin. Using the heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut 25 cookies.
Place cookies in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
Next place cookies on a greased baking sheet and bake 10 minutes until light golden. Let cool.
After that melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Once chocolate has melted, remove it from the heat. Taking one cookie at a time, dip one end of each cookie in the melted chocolate and place it on a parchment lined baking sheet. Once chocolate has set, transfer cookies to cooling rack to dry thoroughly.
Serve and enjoy.

Delicious and sweet. Easy to make. Try it!
Ingredients
* FOR THE COOKIES:
* 3-⅝ ounces, weight Flour, All Purpose
* 1 teaspoon Sugar
* ¼ Tablespoons Salt To Taste
* ⅜ ounces, weight Butter, Chilled
* ½ whole Egg Yolk, Beaten
* 1 cup, 2-⅔ teaspoons, ⅞ pinches Oil, For Frying
* _____
* FOR THE SUGAR SYRUP:
* ½ cups Sugar
* ½ cups Water
Preparation Instructions
Sift the flour. Place the flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Mix. Rub the butter into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Next add 1/2 of the beaten egg yolk . Mix well using your hands. Try to work quickly.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 10 -15 minutes.
Now take the chilled dough and roll out into a large square that is about 1/16 inch thick, using a rolling pin. Use a cookie cutter and cut out cookies. I used a small flower shaped cookie cutter (see photo).
Heat the oil and fry the cookies over medium heat until each side is golden brown. Place cookies on a paper towel lined sheet to drain.
For the syrup, add sugar and water into a heavy-bottomed pan and heat over low heat to 105C degrees. Use a candy thermometer. The sugar should dissolve and the mixture should thicken to syrup consistency.
Place the cookies in a large bowl. Add the sugar syrup mixture to the cookies and carefully fold them to mix well and make sure that all of the cookies have syrup on them. Spread cookies out to cool on a piece of parchment paper. Place some cookies in a bag and serve your kids or friends.
Enjoy.
