Fun Playdough Recipe

by Maryanne
(US)

I did a 1-wk cooking camp at school last year-and the kids were so interested in simple things, like separating an egg, making mayonnaise and cooking breakfast burritos! (Age about 6). But the alltime favorite was the play dough.

Everyday I would bring in another color. They had such fun with kitchen tools and creating.
4 Cups flour
2 Cups salt
8 teaspoon cream of tartar
mixed into 3 Cups boiling water
6 Tablespoons oil
Food color of choice
Knead to the proper consistency (add flour or water as needed), makes for a full day when you add a manual pasta
maker, rollers, cutters, melon ballers-you get the picture!
