Lesson 10
For
today's Kids Cooking Lessons the assistant chef should pick one of the
following kid's recipes below. This is a basic cooking skill that will
come easy for them.
Adding Ingredients
We will be working
on adding ingredients. Usually at this stage they are great at adding
pre-measured ingredients. However, they aren't as proficient at
measuring themselves. (That will be Lesson 12)

Homemade Personal Pizzas
English muffins cut in half, bagels cut in half or
flat pita bread
Spaghetti sauce or tomato sauce
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Toppings of choice
Your child can do most all of these steps except the baking. Arrange
bread onto pizza pan and spread sauce over top of bread with spoon.
Sprinkle with cheese and add toppings. Be sure to pick up any
cheese that has fallen off pizzas onto the pan. It will burn.
Have an adult bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees or until
cheese melts.
Snack Mix
1 Cup Lucky Charms
1 Cup Kix
1 Cup honey nut or apple cinnamon Cheerios
1 Cup raisins or Craisins
1 Cup dried fruit
Let child add pre-measured ingredients and mix all together. You can
experiment with different cereal varieties.
