This is the final lesson in the Assistant Chef
Kids Cooking Lessons group. However today's kids cooking lesson is to remind you to let your
child continuously learn and explore. Please
share your
recipes for this age group below.
Helping in the Kitchen
Reiterate
all the things we focused on in each lesson. Let them grease pans for
muffins, stir muffin batter, spread frosting on the top when they are
baked. Always look for ways for them to help in the kitchen.

If
they
are ready for more learning and growing and are 7-11 years old or you
think they are ready, move on to the next
cooking lesson age group.
If they are not ready for the next age group go
back to 3-6 year olds lesson #2
and use the recipe that was not used the
first session.
Kids Cooking Lessons- Assistant Chef Recipes to try
Peanut Butter Balls
by Rachael
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup honey
1 cup instant milk powder
Mix
all three together well. Allow children to form as they would
play-dough. Refrigerate for one hour. Enjoy. (Can also be made into
uniform balls and even dipped in chocolate for fancier occasions.
Apple Ham Tortilla Wrap
2 apples, cored
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
Mayonnaise, optional
Mustard, optional
6 flour tortillas
12 sliced ham
12 sliced cheese
3 Cups chopped lettuce
Have an adult slice
apples thinly. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Lay one tortilla flat spread
mayonnaise and mustard on tortilla, if desired. Top with ham, cheese,
lettuce and apple slices. Roll up and serve as is or cut into slices.
