Cooking Lessons Plans
3-6 year olds
Lesson 6
Choose one of the following kid's recipes below for today's
kids
cooking lessons. Assistant chefs will be practicing rolling, this is a
basic skill they can learn while playing with playdough or helping you
in the kitchen.
Practice Rolling
Pigs
in blanket or Hot Dog Rollups
Package crescent rolls dough
Hot dogs
Slice cheese
Open package of crescent rolls and separate into triangles. You can let
your child roll
the
triangles more flat with a rolling pin (for practice).
Then have child place hot dog and slice of cheese on top of each
triangle. Show them how to roll and seal the edges. Bake at 350 degrees
for 10 minutes until light brown. (an adult should do the cooking).
Banana Pops
2 Bananas
4 popsicle sticks
Peanut butter or melted chocolate
Toppings of choice. Sprinkles, crushed cereal, grape nuts cereal,
chopped nuts, coconut
Cut banana in half and insert popsicle sticks. Have child roll in
peanut butter or melted chocolate. Roll again in topping of their
choice. Eat or freeze until firm.

dough with it.
