Kids Cooking Lessons -Etiquette
and Manners are part of each age group's lessons as they are important
lessons to learn.
As the Chef in Training is getting older,
you can make this into a game or take them to a nice restaurant to
really test what they have learned. Try this easy meal
idea; the recipe is below.

Part 2: Make
Crunchy Coated Chicken

1
½ Cup butter crackers, crushed
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 quart buttermilk
4-6 Chicken breasts
Spray your baking dish with
cooking spray and set aside. Lay out two flat casserole dishes or pie
plates. In one dish pour buttermilk (buttermilk makes chicken moist but
you can also use milk). In the other dish mix cracker crumbs, paprika,
and pepper.
You don’t need to add salt as
that is already in the crackers. Lay out another baking dish next to
the cracker crumb dish. Take one chicken breast and place in
buttermilk.
Pick up chicken and coat with the
cracker crumb mixture. Now place in the baking dish. Repeat with all
chicken breasts. Adult should bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes until
no longer pink. Serves 4.

You
can also substitute 1 ½ cups crushed rice cereal or crushed
cornflakes for the cracker crumbs.
Important
kitchen sanitation rule.
Wash hands, counters and
dishes well after using raw meat, especially chicken.
