Stir Crazy Kidz: Where cool kids cook!

Yummy is the best word to describe us! Our students are ages 5 to 14 and class size of 6 to 8 depending on ages. Siblings get to cook together, since many of our classes are mixed ages.

All activities in the 1 1/2 or 2 hour session are hands on. We make at least 2 food items per class. The kidz get to eat what they make. They use herbs from our GreenSpace garden.

We focus on fresh, local, seasonal produce, and whenever possible, use Organic Produce. Proper food handling, storage and nutrition are taught. Each child is taught to ability, and pride ourselves on community involvement. On Presidents' Day, 2008, our kidz baked almost 200 cookies, which we sent to the troop along with notes to the servicemen telling them we were giving them something homemade, since they can't be here to have those kinds of comforts.
