Sugar Sambosa

by Shelly
(Kuwait)

I married an Egyptian man about 5 years ago and have learned how to make some really tasty foods, if you are interested I will submit more recipes (primarily egyptian).
This particular recipe is very simple, but it is really tasty.

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
water

Mix first 3 ingredients, add water slowly until the consistency is like cookie dough. On a floured surface knead the dough several times and then roll out very thin (just a bit thicker than paper). Cut sections that are 6 to 8 inches in diameter, they don't need to be perfect or in any certain shape. Then put about a tablespoon of sugar on the section, fold it in half to form a pocket, seal all edges securely and fry with hot oil in a frying pan until done (lightly browned), drain on paper towels, let cool and serve..

Note: You can add cinnamon or instead of sugar, try some fruit preserves.
