Most of the United States sugar comes from Beets called beet sugar. If it doesn't say pure cane sugar, it is beet sugar. The world harvested 227 billion metric tons. They make Czeck alcohol, use syrup for spread for sandwiches in Germany. In New Brunswick they use it to de-ice on the harbor bridge and North America.
