Beef and Broccoli
This simple beef and broccoli recipe is a quick skillet meal that works well over cooked rice or noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound beef sirloin steaks
- 1 package frozen broccoli, thawed
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet or pan.
- Cook the steak until done, then set it aside.
- Mix the onion soup mix into the water.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and add the broccoli, brown sugar, and soy sauce.
- Bring to a boil and cook for several minutes.
- Return the steak to the pan and cook until the broccoli is tender.
- Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
Tip: Slice the beef into smaller strips before cooking if you want it to serve more like a stir-fry.
