Roasted Broccoli

A simple roasted broccoli side dish for Junior Chef lesson 13.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
  2. Wash and drain broccoli. Pat dry and cut into florets.
  3. Toss the broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.
  4. Arrange florets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Roast, turning once, for about 12 minutes or until just tender.
