Roasted Broccoli and Bacon

Roasted broccoli and bacon is a flavorful broccoli side dish with garlic and balsamic vinegar.

Ingredients

  • 6 bacon slices, cut into small pieces
  • 2 heads broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 5 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking tray with foil.
  3. Wash and dry the broccoli florets well.
  4. Combine the broccoli, bacon, garlic, oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread the mixture on the tray.
  6. Roast for 30 to 35 minutes, flipping every 10 minutes for even browning.
Tip: Drying the broccoli before roasting helps it brown better instead of steaming.
Kid Note: Kids can help break broccoli into florets, toss ingredients together, and spread everything onto the pan.
