Coconut Macaroons
These coconut macaroons are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are simple to make and a great beginner baking recipe for kids.
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the coconut, sugar, flour, and salt.
- Add the egg whites and vanilla and mix until everything is evenly combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool before removing from the pan.
