Classic Cocoa Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, stir together sugar, cocoa powder, and milk.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Continue cooking without stirring until mixture reaches 238°F (soft-ball stage).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
  5. Add peanut butter and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour into a foil-lined 8×8-inch or 8×11-inch pan.
  7. Chill until firm before cutting.
