Ingredients
- 3 cups oats
- 1 cup Rice Krispies
cereal
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup creamy
peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons canola
oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
extract
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
For the Topping
- Chocolate chips
- Peanut butter
Instructions
- Line a
13×9-inch pan with parchment paper or foil.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large
bowl, mix oats, cereal, and chopped nuts.
- In a separate
bowl, stir together honey, peanut butter, oil,
vanilla, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Pour honey
mixture into the cereal mixture and stir until
evenly coated.
- Press mixture
firmly into the prepared pan to create a thin,
compact layer.
- Sprinkle
chocolate chips evenly over the top.
- Bake for 15-20
minutes, until lightly golden.
- Remove from
oven and spread melted chocolate over the bars.
Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter on top and
gently spread as it softens.
- Let cool
completely. Lift out using parchment paper and
cut into bars.
