Mice Cookies
These adorable mice cookies are made from peanut butter cookie dough and decorated with candy noses, chocolate chip eyes, peanut ears, and licorice tails.
For nut-free classrooms, use a sugar cookie dough instead of peanut butter dough.
Prep Time: 20 minutes plus chilling
Bake Time: 8-10 minutes
Yield: About 2 dozen cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Peanut halves for ears
- Mini M&M candies for noses
- Mini chocolate chips for eyes
- Red shoestring licorice for tails
Directions
- Cream peanut butter, butter, and sugars together.
- Add egg and vanilla.
- Mix in flour and baking soda.
- Chill dough for 1 hour.
- Roll dough into balls and taper one side into a nose shape.
- Add peanut ears, candy noses, and chocolate chip eyes.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.
- Add licorice tails while cookies are still warm.
