with 1 slice of bologna and 1 slice of salami.
- Spoon a small
mound of drained sauerkraut over the meat.
- Sprinkle
mozzarella cheese on top.

sandwiches on a microwave-safe plate and
microwave for 3–4 minutes, or until warmed and
cheese is melted.
- Let cool for 1
minute before serving (cheese will be hot).
Kid-Friendly Tips
- Kids can butter bread, layer meats, and
sprinkle cheese
- Adults should handle removing the hot plate
from the microwave
- Drain sauerkraut well to prevent soggy bread
Easy Variations
- Swap mozzarella for Swiss cheese for a more
“Reuben-style” flavor
- Add a small smear of mustard on the bread
before layering
- Try turkey or ham instead of bologna/salami
Notes
Microwave wattages vary. Start
with 2½–3 minutes and add more time if needed. For
extra crisp bread, toast the French bread first
(adult help recommended).
