Soft Snickerdoodle Cookies

Snickerdoodles are soft cinnamon sugar cookies that are fun for kids to roll and coat before baking.

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 3/4 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Blend butter, sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Add flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
4. Mix until dough forms.
5. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar.
6. Roll dough into balls and coat in cinnamon sugar.
7. Place on cookie sheet and flatten slightly.
8. Bake about 8 minutes.

Rolling the dough balls in cinnamon sugar is a favorite baking task for kids.
