Snowball Surprises

Ingredients
- ¾ cup butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- Peanut M&M or
other chocolate candies (one per cookie)
- Powdered sugar (for
rolling after baking)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, and egg
together.
- Stir in vanilla, salt, and flour. Mix until well
blended.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Roll dough into balls, hiding a chocolate candy
inside each ball.
- Place on a cookie sheet and bake 10–12 minutes,
until bottoms are lightly browned.
- Move to a cooling rack or waxed paper. Cool a
few minutes.
- Roll each cookie in powdered sugar and place on
a serving platter. Enjoy!
Kids Cooking Tips & Notes
- Sticky dough? Chill dough 30–60
minutes so it’s easier for kids to roll.
- Surprise center: Show kids how
to wrap dough fully around the candy so it doesn’t
leak.
- Even baking: Make balls the
same size (use a tablespoon scoop).
- Variation: Skip the candy
center and stir in 1 cup mini chocolate
chips instead.
