milk chocolate truffles with sprinkles

Prep: 20 minutes | Yield: About 35–40 truffles

Ingredients

  • ½ packet digestive biscuits (vanilla wafers, tea biscuits, or graham crackers)
  • 1 bar milk chocolate
  • Powdered (icing) sugar, for rolling
  • Sprinkles, for decorating

Instructions

  1. Place digestive biscuits in a mixing bowl and crush into fine crumbs using a rolling pin.
  2. Break chocolate into pieces and melt in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour about ¾ of the melted chocolate into the biscuit crumbs and mix well.
  4. If mixture is too dry to hold together, add the remaining melted chocolate.
  5. Dust hands lightly with powdered sugar and roll mixture into small balls.
  6. Pour sprinkles onto a saucer and roll each truffle to coat.

Kid-Friendly Tips

  • Kids can crush biscuits and roll truffles
  • Use gloves or powdered sugar to prevent sticking
  • Adults should help with melting chocolate
  • Let kids choose different sprinkle colors

Variation Ideas

  • Roll truffles in cocoa powder or coconut
  • Use dark or white chocolate instead of milk chocolate
  • Add a splash of vanilla extract

Notes

If the mixture becomes too soft, chill briefly before rolling. Store truffles in the refrigerator until serving.
