Traditional Tuna Salad
A simple tuna salad recipe that can be served on sandwich bread, croissants, crackers, pita pockets, tortillas, lettuce wraps, or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 to 2 cans tuna, drained
- 2 to 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chopped pickles or pickle relish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Place tuna in a mixing bowl and break apart with a fork.
- Stir in mayonnaise and pickles.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve on bread, croissants, crackers, pita bread, tortillas, or lettuce leaves.
Kid Cooking Tip: Kids can drain the tuna, measure ingredients, stir the mixture, and spread the tuna salad onto bread or crackers.
Easy Variations
No-Mayo Tuna Salad
Replace mayonnaise with cream cheese
Add shredded cheddar cheese
Apple Tuna Salad
Add diced Granny Smith apples
Serve in pita pockets
