Gluten-Free Pizza
This homemade gluten-free pizza crust works well with vegetables, cheese, tomato sauce, and other family-friendly toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl combine oil, warm water, sugar, and yeast.
- Allow yeast mixture to bubble slightly.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Cover dough and let rest 30 minutes.
- Spread dough on a greased pizza pan.
- Let sit 15 minutes.
- Bake at 475 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
- Add toppings and bake again until bubbly.
Pizza Night Idea: Set up a topping bar with vegetables, olives, spinach, mushrooms, peppers, pineapple, and cheese so kids can create their own pizzas.
