Spinach and
Artichoke Dip

creamy, cheesy spinach and artichoke dip baked until
warm and bubbly. This crowd-pleasing appetizer is
perfect for parties, family gatherings, and cooking
activities with kids. Serve with crackers, bread
cubes, or vegetables.

Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese,
softened
- 1 (14 oz) can
artichoke hearts, drained (or 3 fresh artichokes,
cooked and prepared)
- 1/2 cup frozen
spinach, chopped and steamed
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
(do not use Miracle Whip)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan
cheese
- 1/4 cup Romano
cheese (or use all Parmesan)
- 1 clove garlic,
finely minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried
basil or 1 tablespoon fresh basil
- Salt and pepper to
taste
- Optional: 1/4 cup
mozzarella cheese, grated (for topping)
Instructions
- Allow cream
cheese to come to room temperature.
- In a mixing
bowl, cream together mayonnaise, Parmesan
cheese, Romano cheese, garlic, and basil until
smooth.
- Squeeze excess
water from spinach. Chop artichoke hearts into
small pieces.
- Add spinach and
artichokes to cheese mixture and mix until well
blended.
- Spray a pie pan
with cooking spray and spread dip evenly into
pan.
- Top with
mozzarella cheese if desired.
- Bake at 350°F
for 25 minutes, until heated through and
slightly golden on top.
- Serve warm.

- Kids can help mix ingredients and spread the
dip into the pan.
- Teach kids to squeeze spinach dry to prevent a
watery dip.
- Serve with colorful veggie sticks for a
healthier option.
Notes
Make ahead and refrigerate
