Jessica's Tutti Fruitti Play Dough

Jessica's Tutti Fruitti Play Dough

All done!

All done!

I made homemade play dough with fruit to color it. I wanted to try something new instead of using food coloring or Koolaid to color my dough. I had to change a few things to make it just right. Here is my recipe.

1 cup flour
1/4 salt
3 tbs of veggie oil
2/3 cup of warm water
About 2 Tbs of blue berries/raspberries

In a medium pan I mixed the flour, salt, and oil.To make the colored water i measured about 2/3cup of water and added enough fruit (blueberries/raspberries) to make the water equal 1 cup.

Then I poured that into a blender and beat it on high until the fruit was blended. Next I poured the fruit water into the pan with the other ingredients. I cooked it on medium heat while stirring the whole time until it stuck together to form a ball.

I placed it on a piece of foil to cool for about 5 minutes. Then I mixed the dough by hand until it was perfect.

I thought this would be a neat way to naturally color play dough. I am so happy how it came out and I can't wait to try other ways to color my dough.
