Banana Porridge (Oatmeal)

I think this is the porridge Goldilocks would have eaten! This creamy oatmeal recipe is easy to make and can be customized with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 banana, sliced

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife

Directions

  1. Place the milk and rolled oats into a saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.
  3. Stir frequently for about 5 minutes or until the oatmeal becomes thick, soft, and creamy.
  4. Remove from heat and spoon into serving bowls.
  5. Drizzle with honey or sprinkle with brown sugar.
  6. Top with sliced banana.
  7. Serve warm.
