Color Mixing Pancakes and Mouse Paint

Color Mixing Pancakes and Mouse Paint

Read Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh and then explore color mixing with a fun pancake activity.

This simple lesson helps children learn about primary and secondary colors while practicing measuring, pouring, stirring, and observing changes.

Theme Reading Book

In Mouse Paint, three white mice discover jars of red, yellow, and blue paint and learn what happens when the colors mix. This cooking activity lets kids experiment with those same color combinations using pancake batter.
