Marshmallow Pilgrim Hats
These marshmallow pilgrim hats are fun no-bake Thanksgiving treats made with cookies, marshmallows, chocolate, and frosting. Kids love helping decorate these edible hats for holiday parties, classroom celebrations, and Thanksgiving dessert trays.
Ingredients
- Chocolate-striped shortbread cookies
- 1 package chocolate chips
- Marshmallows
- Yellow decorating frosting
Directions
Place the chocolate-striped cookies stripe-side down on a tray or parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave using short intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
Insert a toothpick into a marshmallow and dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate until coated.
Quickly place the marshmallow in the center of a cookie to form the pilgrim hat shape.
Use a second toothpick if needed to help steady the marshmallow while the chocolate begins to set.
Refrigerate the hats until the chocolate hardens completely.
Use yellow decorating frosting to pipe a buckle shape onto the front of each hat before serving.
