These festive Bundt Cake Wreaths are an easy Christmas baking project for kids. Small bundt cakes are decorated with green frosting and candy "berries" to look like holiday wreaths. They make great classroom treats, party desserts, or edible gifts.
Makes: 5-6 mini wreath cakes or 1 large wreath cake
Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix, any flavor (or use your favorite homemade cake recipe)
- Ingredients required on cake mix package
- 1 can vanilla frosting
- Green food coloring
- Red M&M's candies
Directions
- Prepare the cake batter according to the package directions.
- Grease and flour 5-6 mini Bundt pans or 1 large Bundt pan.
- Fill pans about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake according to package directions or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes.
- Carefully remove cakes from the pans and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Mix green food coloring into the frosting until you reach your desired wreath color.
- Spread or pipe frosting over each cake.
- Decorate with red M&M's to resemble holly berries.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
