Chocolate Pretzel Treats
These fun chocolate pretzel treats are easy to customize with your favorite toppings. Kids can get creative decorating each pretzel with sprinkles, candies, marshmallows, or colorful toppings for holidays, parties, and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces milk chocolate chips
- 20 circular pretzels
- Assorted toppings such as M&M's, sprinkles, mini marshmallows, Reese's Pieces, or crushed candies
- 3 cups water
- Parchment paper
Directions
Line a cookie sheet or tray with parchment paper. Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the parchment paper. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Place the chocolate chips in a heat-safe bowl that fits over the pot without touching the water. Set the bowl over the simmering water and stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Remove from the heat. Spoon melted chocolate into the center of each pretzel, filling the opening without completely covering the pretzel. Immediately add your favorite toppings while the chocolate is still warm. Let the pretzels cool for at least 15 minutes or until the chocolate hardens before serving.
Yield: About 20 chocolate pretzel treats.
