Hawaiian Pizza Muffins
These easy Hawaiian pizza muffins combine pizza sauce, turkey or ham, pineapple, and melted cheese on an English muffin for a quick lunch, snack, or light dinner. Kids can help assemble their own personal pizzas with their favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 whole wheat English muffin, split in half, or 2 slices bread
- 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
- 2 deli turkey breast slices or ham slices
- 5 ounces diced pineapple, drained, or pineapple rings
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the English muffin halves cut-side up on the baking sheet. Spread each half with pizza sauce. Top with the turkey or ham slices, folding as needed to fit. Add the pineapple pieces and sprinkle evenly with cheddar cheese. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Yield: 1 serving (2 pizza muffin halves).
