Bubble Pizza
Pizza Bread
This easy pizza bread casserole combines biscuit dough, seasoned beef, pizza sauce, and plenty of melted cheese. It tastes like a cross between pizza, monkey bread, and a casserole, making it a fun family dinner kids love.
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 (14-16 oz.) jar pizza sauce
- 2 tubes refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: pepperoni slices, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, or onions
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain excess grease.
- Stir in the pizza sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Cut each biscuit into quarters.
- Place biscuit pieces evenly in the baking dish.
- Spoon the beef mixture over the biscuit pieces.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top.
- Return to the oven and bake 5-10 minutes longer, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the biscuits are fully cooked.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
