Barbecue Chicken Pizza

This easy barbecue chicken pizza uses a prepared pizza crust, cooked chicken, barbecue sauce, and mozzarella cheese for a quick family dinner or pizza night recipe. Kids can help spread the sauce, sprinkle cheese, and add toppings.

Barbecue chicken pizza

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1-2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
  • Optional toppings: red onion, bell peppers, pineapple, bacon bits, cilantro, or extra cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F, or follow the temperature listed on your pizza crust package.
  2. Place pizza crust on a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  3. Spread barbecue sauce evenly over the crust.
  4. Add cooked chicken over the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
  6. Add any extra toppings you like.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  8. Cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Pizza Tip

A 350°F oven may not brown the crust well. For most prepared pizza crusts, 425°F for 10-12 minutes works better. Always check your crust package directions.
