Ingredients
- 1 (18 ounce) roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 3/4 cup vanilla frosting
- Blue food coloring
- Green food coloring
- Yellow food coloring
- Red food coloring
- 3 mini chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with foil, leaving extra foil hanging over the sides to use as handles later. Press the sugar cookie dough evenly into the pan in a single layer. Bake for approximately 18 minutes or until the edges begin turning golden brown. Cool the cookie in the pan on a wire rack for about 20 minutes. Place the pan into the freezer for 30 minutes to firm the cookie. Carefully lift the cookie from the pan using the foil handles. Use cookie cutters or a knife to cut puzzle-shaped pieces and themed designs such as fish, trees, boats, or sunshine shapes. Tint the frosting with food coloring and decorate the pieces as desired. Reassemble the puzzle pieces before serving.
Yield: About 12 to 16 puzzle pieces depending on shapes and sizes.
