French Toast
Kids Cooking Party

A French toast kids cooking party can be an easy and fun way for kids to get an hands on cooking experience.

To get started you will want to download this French Toast recipe card for each child that will be at the party. (You will need Adobe Reader to read this.) This will give them each a chance to follow the recipe while they are preparing the menu. It is also a good idea to include an extra one for them to take home so they can impress their own family with what they learned at the cooking party.

Once you know the number of children coming go through the list of things needed especially utensils, bowls, etc. If you need extra ask friends or family if you can borrow some items for your French Toast kids cooking party.

  • French Toast Recipe

    6 eggsFrench toast with syrup
    1 cup milk
    2 tablespoons vanilla extract
    1 Tablespoon cinnamon
    Loaf of French Bread sliced

Work together as a team and assign different tasks to each child so everyone has a turn adding or stirring. In a mixing bowl add eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Stir together. If you are working with a younger group of kids have an adult cook the French toast while the kids work on the homemade syrup ingredients. Heat griddle pan and soak each side of French bread. Place on griddle and cook each side several minutes.

    Homemade Maple Syrup Recipe

    ¾ Cup White Sugar
    ¾ Cup Brown sugar
    1 Cup corn syrup
    1 Cups water
    1 teaspoon maple extract
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In large saucepan have kids take turns adding syrup ingredients. Start with white sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup and add water. Have an adult cook on the stove top stirring until sugar is dissolved about 10 minutes. While waiting for French toast and syrup to cook, prepare another recipe you have planned, decorate aprons, chef hats or play cooking games. When syrup is done cooking add in maple and vanilla extract. Allow to cool slightly.
