For this meatloaf kids cooking party, you will want to write down
the meatloaf recipes below. Create one for each child that will be
at the party. We have two different recipes to choose from below.
This will give them each a chance to follow the recipe while they
are preparing the menu. It is also a good idea to include an extra
one for them to take home, one that won't get messy. They can
impress their own family with what they learned at the cooking
party.
It is also a good idea to write the menu on a sheet of paper hung on
the wall or chalkboard. You can even make this look like a
restaurant menu.
Once you know the number of children coming go through the list of
things needed especially utensils, bowls, etc. If you need extra ask
friends or family if you can borrow some items for a meatloaf kids

Mini Meat Loaf Recipe
Choose one of these easy meat loaf recipes for the mini meatloaf
kids cooking party.
BBQ meatloaf
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 Cup milk
- 1/3 Cup Barbecue sauce, divided, leave some for the top
- ½ Cup crushed stuffing
- 1 Tablespoon onion soup mix
- 1 ¼ lbs. Ground beef
- Mini loaf pans
This meatloaf kids cooking party will be a team effort at first
as we will be mixing ingredients all in one bowl. If you have a
larger party 4 or more. Double the recipe and make two teams.
Place ½-1 cup stuffing mix in a plastic bag and crush with a
rolling pin or kitchen mallet. Work together as a team taking
turns adding and stirring ingredients together.
Add meat to a mixing bowl, then add egg, milk, barbecue sauce,
crushed stuffing, and onion soup mix. Stir ingredients together
until well combined, either with a spoon or with hands. The best
method for combining meatloaf is with your hands. You can use
plastic gloves if you would like otherwise make sure everyone
washes their hands well. Give each child a mini loaf pan and
grease the pans with shortening or cooking spray. Have them shape
their meatloaf into the pan. Spread a little barbecue sauce on the
top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes and test with a meat
thermometer. While waiting for all meatloaves to cook, prepare a
dessert or other recipe you have planned, decorate aprons, chef
hats or play cooking games.
Swiss Meatloaf
This recipe will make about 6 mini loaves.
- 1/2 bacon strips cooked and crumbled
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 Cup butter crackers crushed
- 1/2 Cup Swiss cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 lb. Ground beef
- Mini loaf pans

or more. Double the recipe and make two teams. Place butter
crackers in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or kitchen
mallet. Shred Swiss cheese into a small bowl and set some aside
for topping at the end.
Work together as a team taking turns adding and stirring
ingredients together. Add meat to a mixing bowl, then add egg,
crushed crackers, shredded cheese and pepper. Stir ingredients
together until well combined, either with a spoon or with hands.
The best method for combining meatloaf is with your hands. You can
use plastic gloves if you would like otherwise make sure everyone
washes their hands well. Give each child a mini loaf pan and
grease the pans with shortening or cooking spray. Have them shape
their meatloaf into the pan. Sprinkle bacon and cheese on top of
each loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes and test with a
