This colorful Jell-O ice cream dessert is creamy, fruity, and easy for kids to help make. Combining gelatin with ice cream or sherbet creates a fluffy chilled dessert perfect for parties, holidays, and fun family treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 (3-ounce) package flavored Jell-O gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups ice cream or sherbet

Directions

In a mixing bowl, completely dissolve the Jell-O in the boiling water, stirring for about 2 minutes.

Add spoonfuls of ice cream or sherbet gradually, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.

Pour the mixture into individual dessert dishes or one serving bowl.

Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until set.
Yield: About 4 to 6 servings.
