Maple Frosting
This sweet and creamy Maple Frosting is perfect for cakes, cupcakes, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin desserts, and other fall treats.
It comes together in just a few minutes and adds delicious maple flavor to your favorite baked goods.
Ingredients
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup or 1 teaspoon maple extract
- Pinch of salt

Directions
Place the powdered sugar and softened butter into a mixing bowl.
Beat together until crumbly and combined.
Add the milk, maple syrup (or maple extract), and salt.
Beat until smooth and creamy.
If using maple extract instead of syrup, add additional milk one teaspoon at a time until the frosting reaches a spreadable consistency.
Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, muffins, quick breads, or doughnuts.
Yield: Frosts one 9x13 cake, one loaf cake, or 12-18 cupcakes.
