Theme Dinner Centerpiece

Create a castle out of recyclable items such as paper towels or toilet paper cardboard,

Oatmeal containers or different size boxes. Place on the table for decoration or on a side table.

Paint or leave as is.

Prince and Princess Dinner Party Menu

Fresh Spinach Salad

  • Sliced strawberries
  • Sliced kiwi
  • Avocado slices
  • Grapefruit sections
  • Fresh Spinach or romaine lettuce
Salad Dressing:
  • 1 Cup oil
  • 4 Tablespoon sour cream
  • 5 Tablespoon vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon mustard
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoon parsley
Prepare salad dressing in pitcher or glass jar. Shake well and chill. Prepare salad ingredients and add to serving bowl. Right before serving add dressing to salad and toss. Serve immediately.

Italian Herb bread for the Bread Machine

  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons dry milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 3 3/4 cups white flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons basil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons yeast

Add all ingredients to your bread machine in the order listed.

Fancy Chicken Dinner

For your main course serve Chicken Broccoli Roll Ups or Chicken Cordon Bleu. Something simple but elegant looking for dinner.

Cream Puffs

Cream Puffs Ingredients:whipped cream puffs
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • whipped cream
  • powdered sugar, dusting the tops
In saucepan add butter, water and salt. Stir and bring to a boil. Add flour and continue to stir. Mixture will thicken and get harder to stir and form a ball.
Take off stove and cool slightly. Crack and add eggs one at a time, stirring egg into dough ball before adding another egg. With a spoon, drop on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
Allow to cool. When cooled off, slice off tops and take out inside dough of cream puff. Fill holes with whipped cream. Add the sliced top to the top of the whip cream. Dust tops with powdered sugar. Serve. Makes about 10-12 puffs, depending on size.
Or fill cream puffs with chocolate mousse.

Cake Push Pops

Make cake push pops for dessert. They are easy and elegant looking.

Bake mini cupcakes or muffins and layer in push pop, cupcake, frosting, berry and continue layers until you reach the top.

Another pretty dessert idea could be creating parfaits.

Making a Princess Cake Photo Tutorial

For this Princess cake tutorial I made a cake with the batter bowl and one 9 inch round cake pan. Layer the cooled round cake pan on the bottom and place the cake baked in the batter bowl on top. Make a small hole in the top of your cake and insert a barbie doll.

Add piping stars to the top of the barbie doll making a shirt. Add a layer of frosting to coat to your layered skirt. Allow to sit 30 minutes-one hour. Frost and decorate how you'd like.
